Once again our office enjoyed its annual river trip on the River Severn in the beautiful Worcestershire / Shropshire border.
This year the introduction of Stand Up Paddleboarding as well as canoes and kayaks added to the excitement as well as a few wobbly knees - although some of our colleagues were noticeable in their avoidance of this new SUP experience!
We must be blessed because after a week of rain, the clouds parted and the sun shone down on us as we zig-zagged our way downstream. The rain had raised the river above its normal levels, which reduced the excitement of the Trimpley Rapids, but the scenery was as stunning as ever and we were delighted to see Kingfishers in action.
The trip finished as all expeditions should: in the pub with food, drink and tall tales. A big thank you to our guides from Live The Adventure
, who left the comfort of Himalayan white water to escort a gaggle of middle aged insurance brokers.
