As described on our 'welcome page' this website is designed with the object of letting you know who we are, and how we do business. The Past

Mann Broadbent Limited was established in 1961 by its founders Bob Mann and Bob Broadbent with the intention of providing much needed cover for teams engaged in amateur sport. Bob Mann had his background in football, not only as a player, but later as a Football League, F.I.F.A. and Olympic Games referee and subsequently was an administrator at County F.A. level. In contrast Bob Broadbent had a cricketing background, and was for many years a regular first eleven batsman with Worcestershire County Cricket Club. The company association with sport has not been restricted to its founders as Mann Broadbent Limited can boast senior County Association members as previous staff members.

The Present

The Mann Broadbent company focus was always on providing a fast, efficient professional service, whilst still retaining the personal approach. We are proud to say that we still maintain that same philosophy whilst at the same time embracing the advantages of new technology. The insurance experience of the existing team is rather frighteningly almost a century, although mercifully, none of us are even close to that. Over the years we have consistently improved our policies to reflect the changes in sport and the needs of our customers. We insure a wide range of levels from a single junior team through to a national association and aim to give the same personal and professional service to all. In the majority of cases, paperwork is turned around the same day, and with our personal accident scheme almost all claims are initially handled here and the benefit cheques issued.

The Future

The direction of many businesses appears to be the installation of ‘telephone queuing’ systems and the use of overseas ‘call centres’. This will not be followed by Mann Broadbent Limited. Our business is built on our interaction with our customers, so if you happen to ring and get the engaged tone, then we apologise but we are actually dealing with a call; the added bonus being that you are not paying for the privilege of waiting. We shall continue to develop our existing products and add additional ones, whilst preserving our established customer service ethos.
