Products Liability Insurance is designed to offer cover should something you supply injure someone. This could include food, drink, kit or equipment.

Products Liability insurance is not always a legal requirement but may be insisted upon by the governing body of a sport as part of their affiliation requirements.

You should be aware that products liability insurance will not cover areas more appropriately covered by other classes of insurance such as Public Liability, Employers Liability, Personal Accident, Committee Members Liability, Legal Expenses or Professional Indemnity insurance.

Some sports governing bodies will provide Products Liability insurance to their affiliated clubs as part of their membership benefits but will expect clubs to make their own arrangements for other types of insurance.
