Paddling, Pedalling and Plodding for Charity
Mann Broadbent team member and sports insurance specialist Claudine McCabe usually spends her time insuring sporting events. However, recently, Claudine completed her own sporting adventure, taking part the Paddle Pedal Plod challenge to raise money for local charity St Richard’s Hospice.
Claudine was part of a team who undertook the all-day challenge to canoe, cycle and walk over 35 miles in aid of their local hospice. The route requires participants to canoe from Pershore to Tewksbury, walk from Tewksbury to Severn Stoke, then cycle the final leg back to Pershore.
When asked about her favourite memories she replied: “The scenery, teamwork and sense of achievement are what I will remember but there were a few hills on the cycle section I would rather forget!”
