Why does a rugby club need insurance?
Rugby Insurance can provide protection should an individual be injured.
Rugby club insurance provides protection if property is damaged, destroyed or stolen.
There are also less well-known types of insurance that we can advise you on that can protect your club in other ways.
As no two clubs are the same, their requirements will be different. If you would like help understanding your insurance needs, then please get in touch.
A club affiliated with a governing body may automatically have some coverage, but depending on your club’s requirements, you may need a more comprehensive approach. We can also help you with tours, travel, events, motor, contractual bonuses, cancellation and most other insurance-related enquiries.
If you are an independent rugby coach, an alternative might be a specific coaching policy – look at our page for coaches or call us for more information.
Insurance costs can vary considerably: a small club or part-time coach can expect to pay just a small premium, while a professional club with a stadium and extensive non-sporting activities will have greater exposure and pay more.
What insurance do I need to consider?
Every club, organisation, and race is unique, so no ‘one size fits all’ insurance plan or solution exists. Aside from rugby insurance, there are some other recommended insurance options for your club, such as:
Public Liability
Personal Accident
Cyber Insurance
Legal Expenses
Kit & equipment
Employers Liability
Event Cancellation
Sports travel insurance
