Why does my rowing club need insurance?

Insurance for rowing clubs can provide protection should a club member or member of the public be injured, if property is damaged, destroyed or stolen and can even protect the club, its committee and its members if they are faced with legal claims or prosecutions. Many boat clubs will also need to prove they have insurance before they can hire facilities or participate in leagues.

The types of insurance needed (and associated cost) depend upon what facilities and equipment you have. A small boat club may just need a basic package, whereas larger clubs will require more comprehensive cover. We can help you understand what insurance your club does, and does not, need.
