Guide and Scouts Insurance: What is required?
You will automatically have some cover for liability and personal accidents. Still, if you own property, equipment, vehicles or boats, they will not be covered for theft or damage, and you may not be covered for liabilities. If you are planning trips or expeditions, you will need travel insurance. If you are planning a large jamboree or unusual event, you may also need additional liability cover, equipment cover and perhaps cancellation cover.
Guide and Scout insurance: How much does it cost to insure a group?
The cost depends very much on what you need to cover. A travel insurance policy starts from under £20.
Will normal holiday insurance cover our foreign trip?
If your trip or expedition involves activities or sports, a normal holiday insurance policy may not cover you so you will need a specialist Scout or Girl Guiding insurance travel insurance policy that will cover things like canoeing and trekking.
